Happy New Year - I hope you have all had a joyful start to 2024!

I spent my holidays over-eating festive leftovers, drinking delicious wines whenever the sun gave us a
delightful afternoon (which is seeming awfully few and far between for a summer season!) and binging some
of my favourite TV programs. It has been blissful – I’m really good at relaxing!

However, as we start to settle into January, I find myself pondering what new year’s resolutions I can adopt for
the year ahead. We all do this, right? The most common of resolutions is to be more ‘active’, to drink less, to
read more and perhaps, to have less screen time – these are all on my list.

Every January, I like to take stock of my wardrobe. I do this so I can find the gaps. What am I lacking? What
pieces are feeling dated or worn out? It’s a great time to shop as the sales are in full swing so you can take
advantage and save some coin. Activewear is a great place to start, especially if you need a little extra
motivation to get moving. I always find a little extra encouragement hidden amongst some fresh purchases so
use this time to treat yourself whilst nabbing a great saving.

One of the reasons I love January so much is because I spend most of it watching the Australian Open. It’s one
of my favourite times of the year, not just because I love Tennis (watching only, I must admit) but for the way
the tournament explodes throughout our city. The nights are longer, the weather warmer (fingers crossed) and
the time spent socialising, usually with a cold beer in hand.

I took some time this week exploring retailers at Highpoint to see who had their fingers on the pulse when it
came to fashion, both on and off the court. We have updated our centre mannequins and display cases to
preview a curation of some of our best finds – be sure to check them out next time you are in the centre.
Polo Ralph Lauren are once again the official outfitter of the Aus Open. If you drop past their Highpoint
boutique, you’ll find some of their AO merch. Their capsule collection captures the joyful spirit of the
tournament, along with taking inspired cues from archival Polo graphics. The Polo, ‘country club’ aesthetic is
set to be a huge fashion trend in 2024 so you’ll be on the money, here.

If you need a courtside look that feels tailored and sophisticated yet relaxed, M.J. Bale would be high on my list
for the boys. Check out their summer edits and try layering t-shirts under linen blazers or perhaps a short
sleeve shirt in a vibrant colourway. This could pair nicely with a neutral linen short or jean. Calibre would be a
great stop along your way, too.

If you are looking for more of a practical, activewear range that is tennis inspired, you’re going to want to visit
Cotton On Body. Their range of active skirts come in a range of colours and look great layered with their
cropped anoraks.

Lorna Jane are starting to drop a few skirts, their baby blue shade is delightful.
Rebel Sport have some exclusive Nike Oz Open products in both menswear and womenswear ranges. Their Tshirts have cool graphics and the tennis skorts for women are both practical and stylist. Whilst you are there,
be sure to grab some accessories too. A new racket, perhaps?

Lastly, drop past the fitness stores down on Level 2; Adidas, Stax., Nike, Glue, Universal Store and more. You
will find so many options, you might need to take up another sport.
